Today we continued the think for yourself attitude. I asked the students to work from a cross grip and find how they could get into different ne-waza situations transitioning from tachi-waza. The students took time to practice situations that would lead to a shimewaz and Osaekomi-waza. the need to think about not only throwing but transition then turnovers then armlocks then strangles and try to develop drills and situations to get into the positions.
