Strength and conditioning days start with a 30 minute swim in the pool followed by the strength and conditioning circuit that Nico has tailored for each of the students. We had a little time spare at the end of the session today so decided to do some rope work. Already in the space of just over 4 weeks the students are making positive gains in upper body strength and they have lost lots of body weight due to the fact they are now training on a daily basis. One of the students has dropped from 83Kg at the start of the scheme to 74Kg after training today. I also had opportunity to check through NVQ portfolios. PS I forgot to mention that for the last 4 weeks we have been playing badminton for an hour on a Friday and no one has beaten me yet……. just thought i would get that in should any of the students read this blog!!!!!
