After circuit training today we decided to re-cap on Juji Gatame. How do we break off Uke’s arms if he defends by grabbing his own sleeve to defend against the armlock and what options were available if Uke’s arms were too strong to break. We tried different methods of breaking Uke’s grip and also looked at turning into a hold down made famous by Neil Eckersley. Following this technical session we spent the last hour doing repetative throwing for 1 Hour instead of the usual randori session.
