Tuesday, Strength & Conditioning

Tuesday session – as this group are only used to training at a recreational level in their early teens it is appropriate to first use a multilateral training programme where the focus is to improve flexibility, coordination, balance, basic strength, aerobic capacity and moderate anaerobic training. Flexibility refers to the range of motion around the joints, coordination refers to the ability to have flow, rhythm and precision of movement, balance is the control of the centre of gravity over the base of support, basic strength refers to development of overall muscle strength, aerobic capacity means a strong heart and anaerobic refers to the ability to perform activities that are fast/dynamic. Nicos sessions include these key areas and he tries to tailor them to the individual by looking at their results from the fitness tests previously completed anmd watching them in randori/training etc.
