The scheme is delivered in partnership with Walsall College www.walsallcollege.ac.uk and the University of Wolverhampton www.wlv.ac.uk and is endorsed by the British Judo Association www.britishjudo.org.uk . Funding for the programme comes from SkillsActive and this funding enables programme manager and coach at the University Dave Elmore to employ additional high performance Judo coaches Including Fitzroy Davis and Joyce Heron. A full strength and conditioning programme is delivered by University lecturer and fitness expert Nico Kolokythas. This 2 year course will hopefully give the students the skills to perform at the highest level whilst at the same time provide them with an education.
